Marilynn Marjorie Orthober, 82, of Carlsville, handed away at residence on March 31, 2024. She was born July 6, 1941, in Canada to George and Myrtle (Grimes) Whitwell. On Oct. 1, 1960, she married Gary H. Orthober in Egg Harbor at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
For a few years, she and her husband owned and operated a flooring enterprise in Carlsville. Marilynn was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Jacksonport the place she performed the organ and sang for 40 years. She beloved touring, particularly taking journeys again to Canada. Marilynn was an important hostess who loved entertaining and cooking for household and associates. She particularly treasured the time she spent with household.
Survivors embody her husband, three sons: Michael and Lorie Orthober and their kids Joseph (Charlotte) Orthober [and their children Daniel and Natasha], Susan (Edward) Haen [and their daughter Holly]; Matthew (Michelle) Orthober and their kids Andrew (Karen) Orthober [and their son Calvin], Chelsea (Adam) Edgerly [and their children Evan and Levi]; Mark and Karen Orthober and their kids, Kyle (Denee) Orthober [and their children Brooklyn, Harrison, Henry, and Kinley], Kaleb (Noura) Orthober [and their children Azzahra and Kiaraana], Kollin (Brynn) Orthober [and their children, Kolton, Finley and Celyse].
She can be survived by her sister Helena Elson, brother-in-law Roger Orthober, and sister and brother-in-law Gail and Jim Antonissen. She was preceded in loss of life by her dad and mom, parents-in-law Carl and Marie Orthober, sister-in-law Mona Orthober, nephews, and plenty of Canadian family members.
A funeral mass can be carried out at 11 am at St. Michaels’s Church in Jacksonport on Tuesday April 9, 2024. Visitation can be from 2 – 6 pm on Monday April 8, at Forbes Funeral Dwelling in Sturgeon Bay and on the church on Tuesday from 10 am till the time of service.
